Elevating a Brand That Deserves a Bigger Stage

When Conscious Club - one of the Southwest’s most in-demand wedding and events bands - approached us, they were experiencing a challenge that many growing creative businesses face: their website no longer reflected who they were becoming.

Their reputation had outgrown their old digital presence. The previous site lacked the visual impact, functionality, and modern polish necessary for a premium wedding supplier competing in a crowded industry. They needed a website that showcased their talent, supported their booking process, and gave couples and planners confidence from the moment they landed on the homepage.

So they came to us. And what followed was one of our favourite transformation projects to date.

Project Goals & Initial Challenges

Before we wrote a single line of code or sketched a single frame, we dug deep into what Conscious Club really needed from a redesign. A few clear objectives emerged:

1. Transform the visual identity

Their old site didn’t convey the band’s energy, professionalism, or premium service. They needed something modern, bold, and beautifully branded.

2. Improve usability & booking flow

Couples planning weddings need clarity. On their old site, key information was scattered and enquiry options weren’t always obvious.

3. Strengthen multimedia presentation

A band sells an experience - through video, audio, and imagery. Conscious Club needed a platform that showcased all of these seamlessly.

4. Deliver a mobile-first, fast-loading website

A huge portion of their audience browses on mobile devices, so responsiveness and speed were essential.

5. Make updates easy

The band needed the ability to update photos, add events, and manage testimonials without technical assistance.

Our Approach: Purposeful, Personal, and Designed from Scratch

We built the new Conscious Club website completely from the ground up. No templates. No generic layouts. A fully tailored experience designed to elevate their brand and convert more enquiries.

Brand Discovery & Visual Direction

We started with mood boards, colours, typography exploration, and discussions around the band’s identity. Conscious Club has a vibrant, stylish, high-energy personality - and we wanted the website to reflect that without compromising elegance.

The end result is a design that feels:

  • clean and modern

  • bold but not overwhelming

  • polished and trustworthy

  • unmistakably “them”

Information Architecture & UX Planning

We completely restructured the site to guide visitors through:

  1. Who they are

  2. What they offer

  3. How they sound

  4. How to book

This meant reorganising pages, rewriting calls to action, and designing a layout that tells a story - from first impressions to final enquiry.

Key Features & Functional Enhancements

1. Embedded Video & Audio Media

We integrated high-performance media sections so potential clients can hear and see the band instantly. No external links, no clunky plugins - just smooth, engaging multimedia.

2. Custom Booking Enquiry Forms

We built a structured, streamlined enquiry form that makes it easier for potential clients to submit the right information - helping the band respond faster and more effectively.

3. Dynamic Testimonials

Social proof is critical in the wedding industry, so the site includes a dedicated, easy-to-update testimonials section.

4. Photo Galleries & Band Lineups

Showcasing visuals is key. We created dynamic galleries and sections that highlight different band configurations.

5. A CMS built for simplicity

The backend was custom-configured so Conscious Club can edit content without touching code - meaning the website grows as the band grows.

Results: A Website That Works as Good as It Looks

The feedback since launch has been outstanding - from clients, suppliers, and the band themselves. The redesign didn’t just improve branding; it created a more seamless inquiry journey and gave the band a platform they’re proud to show off.

Here’s what Conscious Club had to say about working with us (and yes, it made our day):

“We asked Lawrence to build us a new website after seeing the incredible work he did for another wedding supplier, and honestly, it’s one of the best decisions we’ve made as a business in years. Working with him was an absolute breeze. He was incredibly patient and made the whole process so easy (especially as I don’t know much about websites myself). I had a rough idea in my head of what I thought the site might look like, but what Lawrence created completely blew me away. It far exceeded anything I could have imagined. Since launching, we’ve had so many compliments, not just from fellow wedding suppliers, but from potential clients too, all saying how much they love the site. As a bit of a control freak, it was scary letting go and handing the reins to someone else, but I am so glad that I did. I’ve been recommending Lawrence to everyone I know. He’s talented, professional, and just so easy to work with. Thank you so much for building us a website we’re truly proud of!”

Why a Custom Website Matters for Wedding Industry Businesses

Wedding suppliers live and die by first impressions. Couples typically compare multiple vendors quickly - and often decide in seconds whether to continue browsing a site or click away.

Some key advantages of going custom:

1. Higher Booking Conversions

A website designed around your target client’s journey increases the chance they’ll enquire - sometimes dramatically.

2. Stronger Branding & Trust

Premium suppliers need premium presentation. A custom design differentiates you from template-based competitors.

3. Better Mobile Performance

Over 60% of wedding planning research happens on mobile. A mobile-first design = a huge competitive advantage.

4. Seamless Multimedia

For musicians, video and audio are essential. Custom integration avoids the lag, clutter, or incompatibility of generic plugins.

5. Long-term flexibility

As your business evolves, your website can evolve with it - without redesigning from scratch.

Some Interesting Stats!

  • 38% of visitors will stop engaging with a website if the layout or content is unattractive (Source: Adobe).

  • 68% of couples say a supplier’s website is one of the biggest factors in whether they make an enquiry.

  • Mobile-friendly websites can boost engagement by 50% or more, especially in the wedding sector.

  • Wedding businesses using professional photography and video on their website can see enquiry rates rise by up to 80%.

Lessons Learned & What This Project Means for Future Clients

This redesign reinforced a few key principles in our work:

1. Collaboration brings the best results

The Conscious Club team trusted the process and allowed us to push the creative direction - which led to something beyond what any template could ever achieve.

2. Functionality matters as much as beauty

A good website looks lovely.A great website drives enquiries, plays video smoothly, loads fast, and serves users intuitively.

3. Musicians & performers benefit hugely from custom design

Your website isn’t just a portfolio — it’s a sales tool. And it needs to work hard.

Conclusion: A Site That Hits All the Right Notes

The Conscious Club redesign is more than a fresh coat of paint - it’s a complete digital overhaul that now mirrors who the band truly are: talented, professional, high-energy, and premium.

We’re incredibly proud of the result, and even more proud of the impact it’s having on their business.

If you're a band, musician, or wedding supplier looking for a website that works beautifully and converts clients effortlessly - let’s create something unforgettable.
